2. APOLOGIES – Cllr H Swanton, Cllr R Henstridge and Cllr M Pont
3. MINUTES - The Minutes of the last Meeting on 6th February 2013 were agreed and signed as correct.
4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
a) Purchase of new mower - Cllr D Blake and Cllr N Piner declared a personal interest.
The Cricket Club have ordered a new mower and contributions towards its purchase will be coming
from the Football Club, South Newton and Wishford Village Hall, a grant from Wiltshire Council and
South Newton and Stoford Parish Council have agreed to donate the sum of £1000.
After discussion, it was agreed that it was the responsibility of the Cricket Club to insure the mower.
Clerk to write to Cricket Club and advise.
b) Date for Annual Parish Meeting/AGM has been set for Wednesday 15th May 2013 at 7.00 pm. Clerk
to prepare posters for the parish notice boards and request that this information is also put on the
website. Also, invite Jenny Moss, PCSO.
5. Area Board Reports – no report this month.
6. STANDING AGENDA ITEMS
a. Accidents- one accident reported of a vehicle having driven into a cottage in Forge Close, South
Newton
b. Planning - no new planning applications received.
Reg Williams, Salisbury City Council, advised that there will be a meeting between developers and the
planning officers at the Guildhall on Friday 12th April, to discuss further the application for the
cemetery at the top of the Avenue, Wilton. A couple of Councillors expressed that they wished to attend
– work commitments permitting.
c. Rights of Way - nothing reported. New dog fouling signs have now been purchased for the play
areas and footpaths. Parish Councillors will arrange for these to be put in place.
d. Environmental/AmenitiesThe old bench by the bridge in Stoford is to be removed and a concrete base laid down to enable the new bench to be installed as and when the weather improves. Light outside the Village Hall is not working – Clerk has already contacted Wiltshire Council who advise that this is not their responsibility. Clerk will now contact SSE to try to establish if it belongs to Southern Electric and request a new bulb to be fitted, or an estimate of cost if not their responsibility to replace it.
e. Website - 5,246 visits during March 2013.
f. A36/C283 - report received from Highways Agency advising of work carried out on C283 – repair of
potholes and clearing of debris.
8. FINANCE
a) Accounts signed by Cllr D Blake, as correct to date.
b) Payment to Clerk
9. VILLAGE HALL Race Night arranged for Saturday 4th May 2013, in conjunction with the Football Club. Six-a-Side Tournament will take place on 15th and 16th June 2013.
10. COUNCILLORS’ REPORTS
Cllr J GreenEntrance to Mount Pleasant, by the post box, still needs patching . Clerk has contacted the Highways Agency to see if the Parish Steward can repair, however they have advised that one of their Street Care Officers will inspect the area to ascertain if this is on the C283 or Mount Pleasant Road entrance. Awaiting their further advice.

The next Parish Council Meeting will take place on Wednesday 15th May 2013 at 7.30pm, following the Annual Parish Meeting which commences at 7.00 pm
