EASTER  BINGO   A special family Easter Bingo took place on  Tuesday, 11th April at  7 .30 pm.  It was good to see some new faces and  everybody had an enjoyable evening with plenty of prizes being won on the Bingo and the Raffle.  Thanks to Heather Bryans for organising the evening that raised  a great profit of over £500.

THE BELL INN   Dave and Nicky, along with their lovely labrador, Honey,  moved in to the Bell Inn at the end of June last year when they  worked hard to refurbish the accommodation as well as the bar and restaurant areas.  We are so fortunate to have this community asset in our village. If you haven't visited yet then give it a go and you will receive a warm welcome and be well served by Nicky and Carys with tempting and delicious food prepared by Dave in the kitchen, or enjoy a drink in the garden or down by the river. The number for reservations is 743336. www.thebellinn1737.co.uk

ZUMBA   Zumba sessions are now up and running in the village hall.  If you would like to keep fit and have fun then come along on Tuesday mornings at 10.00 am and join in.  Contact Holly on 07540101460 for more information.

VALLEY ART GROUP   The group continues to expand and we are looking forward to painting outside on suitable days.   If you practice an art or craft you are welcome to drop in to any of our sessions held fortnightly on a Friday morning.  There is only a mininal fee payable on the day to cover the cost of the hall.  All levels of experience welcome. If you would like to join us please contact Loraine 743577 or email: paperstitch@icloud.com

BREAKFAST MORNING  Due to the hall being booked over the May Bank holiday,  the next breakfast morning will be a week later on Saturday,  June 3rd from  9.00 am until 11.00 am. This event has become a very popular way to start the weekend with numbers increasing each time.  So come and join us,  and enjoy a full English breakfast, read the papers, and have a convivial chat.

CAR PARKING  The Parish Council wish to remind residents that they should be aware when parking vehicles on roads in residential areas they should consider whether or not they are restricting easy access for emergency vehicles as this  could cause delay in reaching a call out. Parking on street corners particularly narrows access and  larger vehicles  mount pavements causing damage to kerbs and grassed areas.  So please use the car parks provided.
