South Newton & Stoford, Wiltshire, UK
Village Hall Modernisation
Summary of Plan:
Remove old Village Hall and provide extra car parking (10 spaces),
Demolish old concrete south extension
Construct new larger extension,
Overclad remaining building with new outer walls and roof.
The proposed extension incorporates toilets, changing rooms, showering facilities, a committee room and storage space.
The Revised Planning Application (19/10359/FUL) was submitted on 17 Apr 20 for approval by 20 May 20.
Approval received on 25 Aug 20 (opens in a new window)
Funding the extension
In addition to monies already raised:
We have set up a Crowdfunding site (opens in a new window)
By shopping through the Go Raise page (opens in a new window) the fund gets a percentage of your spend, so, for example if you spend £100 on the John Lewis or Waitrose website the village hall will receive up to 2.5%.
We now have our own clothing bank which should be emptied monthly for all bagged clothes, paired shoes, bags, belts and soft toys.
We also have a collection box for computer ink cartridges too. With all proceeds going to the Village Hall extension fund.
