Refuse planning permission for the South Newton Helipad

As a result of several concerns from parishioners, South Newton Parish Council have set up this petition opposing the retrospective planning request from Heritage Automotive relating to the helipad built on land adjacent to South Newton Trading Estate. There are health and safety concerns of aircraft flying low across a residential area and the Trading Estate in South Newton. If you agree please show your support by signing this petition.

Heritage Automotive have applied for a retrospective planning permission in South Newton.  The Helipad has already been built in the Trading Estate and is already in use. The noise pollution and intrusion to privacy is unacceptable along with real safety concerns in our peaceful community.

The Parish Council have objected to this application and many members of the community have also objected and are concerned about the development.  The helicopter is flying over a built-up area to access the helipad, flying low over neighbouring properties and farm fields with various livestock and equestrian activity.  The helipad is also very close to the busy A36, power lines and industrial gas storage tanks.  You can view and object the plans at: http://planning.wiltshire.gov.uk/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/ApplicationSearch.aspx and open planning application number 20/01488/FUL.

As this is retrospective permission, the village is very concerned that this is a foregone conclusion.  Please sign this petition so that Wiltshire Council can see the strength of opposition in the village and surrounding area.
